Photodynamic Acne Therapy

PDT/ALA is a procedure that can significantly improve moderate to severe acne, including cystic acne. PDT/ALA treatments use Levulan to reduce the bacteria that trigger acne, exfoliate the skin and unclog pores. This treatment will also decrease the activity of overactive sebaceous glands in the skin. Most patients will need 3 to 5 treatments to see optimal results.
